Bilateral ties between Mongolia and Japan discussed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On April 21, Ts.Munkh-Orgil, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia received M.Takaoka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia to exchange their comprehensive opinions on the present issues of relations between Mongolia and Japan.

At the meeting, FM Ts.Munkh-Orgil expressed his gratitude the Japanese Ambassador for supporting the successful implementation of an official visit of M.Enkhbold, Speaker of Mongolia to Japan in March and confirmed his readiness to cooperate in directions of carrying out the issues were touched upon during the visit of the Speaker.

In particular, the dignitaries exchanged views on intensifying the implementation of a Midterm Program on Strategic Partnership of Mongolia and Japan (2017-2021), holding a regular meeting of the joint committee on Mongolia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement, moving forward the talks on establishing Double Taxation Agreement, conducting 8th consultative meeting of public and private sectors within the third quarter of this year and building a coal-chemistry complex.

Ambassador M.Takaoka mentioned that relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Japan are actively growing and affirmed his willingness to further intensify the bilateral relations this year, which marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan.
