Environment Minister meets Ambassador of Turkey

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ D.Oyunkhorol, Minister of Environment and Tourism received Ahmet Yazal, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Mongolia to exchange views on Mongolia-Turkey bilateral cooperation in the environmental field.
At the beginning of the meeting, Turkish Ambassador thanked the Mongolia's Environment Minister for receiving him and said that he was overwhelmed by the beauty of Mongolian nature and hospitality of Mongolian people. Moreover, he expressed his willingness to upgrade bilateral relations of the two countries during his tenure in Mongolia.
“Mongolia and Turkey have been maintaining great relationships from ancient time. The shining monument of Tonyukuk. is erected in the north-west of the Bayantsogt Mountain in Erdene soum, Tuv province. Development works have already been launched at this site”.

In turn, D.Oyunkhorol, Minister of Environment and Tourism expressed her satisfaction with the appointment of Ahmet Yazal to Mongolia, who has broad experience of 25 years in the field of foreign relations. She then said "Mongolia and Turkey has implemented a large number of works during the past 48 years since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations. I am confident that the bilateral ties will be broadened further”.
“Ministry of Environment and Tourism has sent its proposals and suggestions for the Memorandum of Understanding /MOU/ on cooperation in the tourism industry between the Governments of Mongolia and Turkey”. The Mongolian Minister pledged to cooperate with Turkey on tackling environmental issues, in particular, by providing ger districts' residents with heating equipment during winter times and getting support from Turkey on combat against forest insects and pests, importing bio toilets and reducing soil pollution.
