UB Dialogue Scientific Conference on NEA Security approaching

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Strategy and Research Institute of the National Security Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia are organizing the third “Ulaanbaatar Dialogue (UBD)” scientific conference on June 16 and 17 here to bring together 150 delegates from Russia, China, USA, India, South Korea, North Korea, Japan, Germany, France, Australia and Mongolia.

The annual scientific conference on the events being held in the margin of the “Ulaanbaatar Dialogue on Northeast Asian Secutiry” initiative by the President Ts.Elbegdorj. At the third meeting, a series of discussions will run among the scholars and researchers on the current situation of security in the Northeast Asia, challenges, actual steps towards building regional understanding and mutual trust, and promoting the regional economic ties. The sides will be exchanging views on the environmental protection and disaster management cooperation for the first time.

Having friendly relations with all countries in Northeast Asia, Mongolia is fully capable of making contributions to mastering challenges of the regional security by means of negogiations and diplomatic approaches. In consideration of this, the regional experts are committed to upgrading the Ulaanbaatar Dialogue to the level of independent conference of specialists of the region. It is intended that the representatives of the Defense and Foreign Affairs Ministries would be taking active part in the UBD scientific conferences, in order to mobilize the initiatives of scientists and researchers on the regional level.
