Ch.Saikhanbileg PM meets European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister Ch.Saikhanbileg received Friday Valdis Dombrovskis, the European Commissioner for the Euro and Social Dialogue, who is taking part in the Finance Ministers’ Meeting of ASEM here.
They have exchanged views on the cooperation between Mongolia and the European Union (EU).
Saikhanbileg emphasized that hosting the upcoming 11th ASEM Summit and its Finance’s Ministers’ Meeting at the highest level is a great honor for the Mongolian government.
Thanking the Mongolian government for inviting the EU representative to the ASEM Finance Ministers’ Meeting, Dombrovskis affirmed that the EU will send its high-level delegates to the ASEM Summit.
Saikhanbileg PM underlined that EU members are big investors in Mongolia, and said Mongolia wants to deepen the cooperation with the EU in the fields of energy, particularly renewable energy, agriculture, IT and infrastructure and to introduce European best technologies, know-how and standards.
The both sides have big potentials to direct bilateral cooperation at these areas, the EU Commissioner replied.
