Economy | AgricultureUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A total of 388.7 tons of cashmere costing MNT 27.1 billion was sold through Agricultural Exchange last week.
The price of unprocessed dark-colored cashmere was about MNT 55,000 per kilo, and bright-colored cashmere--was about MNT 57,000 per kg. In the report period, the price of bright cashmere declined by MNT 3,000, and dark cashmere--by MNT 2,000 against the previous week.
Since the beginning of May, 1,597 tons of cashmere has been sold at the Agricultural Exchange, which decreased by about 12 per cent, whereas the price slightly increased against the same period of 2015. One kilo dark cashmere went up by 9.4% in price, and bright cashmere--by 8.4% compared to the same period of 2015.
