Two Mongolians grab bronze medals at Tokyo Grand Slam

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian judokas of the national selected team are competing in the Tokyo Grand Slam which started on Friday in Japan.

On the first day of the tournament, five judokas competed in the contests of men’s 60, 66, women’s 48, 52 and 57 kg. Among them, D.Tomorkhuleg and D.Sumiya captured bronze medals in the men’s -66 and women’s -57 kg, respectively.

Other judokas M.Urantsetseg (women’s 48 kg) and D.Amartuvshin (men’s 60 kg) took 7th places.

Has claimed five gold, three silver and three bronze medals on the first day, the national team of Japan is currently leading the competition, being followed by Russia, France (one silver medal each) and Mongolia.

By the tournament’s schedule, contests of men’s 73, 81, women’s 63 and 70 kg weight divisions will take place the next day.
