Results of training introduced to aimags’ authorities
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ An online conference ran Monday at the State House among representatives of Councils of Bayankhongor, Gobi-Altai, Tov and Sukhbaatar provinces to highlight results and a significance of several workshops on improving of a capability of self-governance bodies.
These workshops had been organized under a leadership of Pop Van Huff, an international consultant to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in frames of a project on empowering local self-governance bodies. This project is being co-implemented by the Parliamentary Office of Mongolia, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the UNDP.
During the above conference, which was chaired by B.Boldbaatar, the Secretary-General of the Parliamentary Office, the gathered discussed an importance of these workshops, "there were vital in terms of sharing experiences, making decisions accorded with public interests, improving trust between the state and citizens, boosting the collaboration and promoting representatives’ participation in making policies". They also considered as necessary to continue such workshops.
