Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Bank of Mongolia has reported that money supply (M2) reached to MNT 10.0 trillion at the end of August of this year, increased by MNT 100.9 billion or 1.0% against previous month, but decreasing by MNT 171.7 billion or 1.7% against the previous year.

At the end of August of this year, currency issued in circulation reached MNT 774.4 billion, showing an increase of MNT 15.4 billion or 2.0% against the previous month, and a decrease of MNT 105.7 billion or 12.0% against the previous year.

Loans outstanding amounted to MNT 11.8 trillion at the end of August of this year, decreasing by MNT 152.0 billion or 1.3% against the previous month, by MNT 497.6 billion or 4.0% against the previous year.

Principals in arrears reached MNT 780.4 billion at the end of August 2015, increasing by MNT 63.9 billion or 8.9% against previous month, by MNT 253.3 billion or 48.0% compared to same period of the previous year.

At the end of August of this year, the nonperforming loans over the bank system reached MNT 865.5 billion, increasing by MNT 40.8 billion or 5.0% against the previous month, by MNT 245.5 billion or 39.6% against the previous year.

In the same period, 22.4 million units of shares were traded in the stock market valued at MNT 691.9 billion. The cost of shares increased by MNT 556.3 billion or 5.1 times, whereas the number of shares decreased by 14.7 million units or 39.7% against the previous year.
