Millennium Road Project fully completed after 21 years
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The 67-km Tosontsengel-Uliastai road was commissioned today, completing the Millennium Road project, which was aimed at connecting 21 aimags of Mongolia with the capital city by a paved road. The opening ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of Mongolia L.Oyun-Erdene along with some members of the State Great Khural and the Government.

Forest Genetic Resources Center established in Mongolia for the first time
The ‘Erdenet’ Center for Forest Genetic Resources, which was put into operation on June 21, consists of a seed laboratory, a biotechnology laboratory, a quarantine laboratory, and a storage for seeds, twigs, seedlings and saplings, a reception section, a deep freezing section, as well as a training and meeting room.

Mongolia-EU Joint Committee meeting held
Mongolia and the European Union (EU) held their annual Joint Committee meeting on June 17, 2022 under the Mongolia-EU Partnership and Cooperation Agreement. It was the first physical meeting of the Committee since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting was an opportunity for Mongolia and the EU to reaffirm their partnership based on shared values such as democracy, human rights, the rule of law and the respect of the principles of the UN Charter.
