Mongolia Updates NDC to Cut Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 30 Percent by 2035
Mongolia aims to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 30.3 percent, or 24.7 million tonnes of CO₂ equivalent, by 2035, according to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. The reduction goal is estimated to be achievable by 46.3 percent through improved land use, pasture management, and enhanced forest carbon sequestration, and up to 52.8 percent through the implementation of major emission mitigation measures with international financial and technological support.

Clean-Up, Infrastructure Preparations for COP17 Underway at National Garden Park
As part of preparations for hosting the 17th Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, efforts are underway to expand green areas within the National Garden Park in Ulaanbaatar. Landscaping works include the planting of more than 4,500 trees and shrubs of nine different types, along with grass.
