The Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association is now powered by expert trainers specialized in the fields of sustainable production standards and management principles, environmental and social criteria, and requirements for sustainable production techniques and technologies.

MCA Mongolia, Water Services Regulatory Commission sign Implementing Entity Agreement
Millennium Challenge Account – Mongolia has signed an Implementing Entity Agreement with Water Services Regulatory Commission of Mongolia (WSRC) to collaborate on the development and approval of the Cost Recovery Plan, a detailed plan to ensure a long-term financial and operational sustainability of water services in Ulaanbaatar.

Mongolia’s coal exports to China growing amid COVID-19
A total of 40 million tons of coal had been projected to export to abroad this year, however, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Mongolia has exported only around 13 million tons of coal currently. Another statistic shows that Mongolia is experiencing a decrease of 46 percent in the coal exports in the first seven months of 2020 compared to the same period of previous year.

One COVID-19 case recorded
At today’s COVID-19 daily press briefing of the Ministry of Health, it has been reported that a total of 553 coronavirus tests have been carried out on August 26, yesterday, and one of them was confirmed positive. A 35-year old Mongolian citizen, who arrived on a charter flight from S.Korea on August 22, was tested positive after his repeated test.

Special purpose company established for feasibility study of gas pipeline project
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the establishment of a joint Mongolian-Russian special purpose company to develop a feasibility study of the project on building pipelines between Russia and China going through the territory of Mongolia was signed today.
