Mongolia to cooperate with Indian Space Research Organization

Bangaluru /MONTSAME/ President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga, who is on visit to the Republic of India, visited Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on September 23.
Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi announced an ambitious program to launch its crewed orbital spacecraft with three astronauts by 2022 and the ISRO is intensively working towards launching the Gaganyaan spacecraft at the scheduled time, ISRO chair K.Sivan introduced. “Since the ISRO has launched 17 communications, 21 scientific, 8 navigation and 3 space science satellites as of now, we will be happy to share our experience and knowledge on working at space and cooperate,” he added.
A total
of 242 Mongolians got involved in training conducted by the ISRO until
today and more than 50 percent of them were women.
Stressing that a memorandum of understanding on cooperation and use of outer
space for peaceful purposes is one of the agreements signed during his visit,
President Kh.Battulga asked Mr. K.Sivan to work closer.
Furthermore, the President noted that Mongolia is not a new player in space research, having many years of history and talked about the country's intensifying cooperation with the largest space research centers such as NASA and Roscosmos.
