2019-2020 declared as Year of Children’s Development and Protection

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. At the Cabinet meeting on May 29, the Government declared 2019-2020 as Year of Children’s Development and Protection. Minister of Labor and Social Protection was obliged to have inter-sector action plan approved by the National Council for Children and oversee its implementation.
Moreover, members of the
National Council for Children and governors of aimags and the capital city were
tasked to pay attention on improving accessibility of child protection services,
supporting child development and approve a sub-plan of action in their respective
spheres.
Within the framework of the
year, multilateral actions will be implemented, such as increasing duties and
responsibility of parents to prevent children from violence and developing
cooperation between government and non-government organizations.
