Cabinet meeting in brief

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. At
its regular meeting on April 3, the Cabinet made the following decisions.
-The Cabinet backed a draft
of the Treaty on Friendly Relations and Cooperation between Mongolia and the
Republic of Belarus and decided to consult with relevant Standing Committee of
the Parliament.
-On the occasion of 50th
anniversary of the establishment of State Philharmonic ‘Bayanmongol’ Jazz
Orchestra, the Cabinet made a decision to re-equip it with new musical
instruments. Required funding worth MNT250 million will be issued from
government reserve.
-The National Development Agency reported about an assessment on the realization of ‘Three-pillar development policy’, which indicates 47.8 percent fulfillment as of the end of 2018. There have been positive indices, such as the percentage of agricultural sector in the gross domestic products rose by 1.5 percent against 2016, and the export of meat and meat products reached its target level of 2020.
The number of tourists
arriving to Mongolia increased by 31 percent. Within the policy to reduce
poverty, 27146 jobs were newly created.
