Waste sorting significance introduced to students

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ An eco-club was founded involving teachers and students from 37 kindergartens and 31 schools in Khan-Uul district aimed at giving knowledge on waste to students and setting an example on protecting the nature and creating clean environment.
On October 26, eco tour was organized and 30 students and teachers got familiarized with activities of sorting waste in the 67th kindergarten and the 52nd secondary school in the district.
They also got acquainted with condition of waste sorting sites and visited Mog plastic LLC which recycles plastics and ‘Sain Tsaas’ paper mill. The students said that not only the eco tour was interesting to them to experience the process of sorting waste on the spot also it inspired and motivated them.
In addition, the tour was participated by a teacher and students from the University of Kitakyushu of Japan and they emphasized the great significance of intensification of activities on sorting waste in Ulaanbaatar city and organization of the tour for students.
The Governor’s Office of the capital city plans to organize the eco tour monthly.
