Foreign Minister delivers remarks on the occasion of the United Nations Day
Society
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The United Nations Day has annually
been celebrated on October 24 as the date marks the anniversary of the entry
into force of the UN Charter. Foreign Minister delivered address at a reception
dedicated to the 73rd anniversary of the United Nations.
In his address, the Foreign Minister noted Mongolia is a
proud UN member state that joined the organization with its utmost efforts, confirming its independence and emphasized
significant support of the UN in dealing with major challenges facing humanity.
The Minister then expressed willingness to actively cooperate in strengthening
the organization, while commending it for not leaving anyone behind.
Opening remarks of the reception was made by UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative Ms. Beate Trankmann.
