B.Gangaamaa takes part in UNHRC Social Forum

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Under a theme ‘The Possibilities of Using Sport and the Olympic Ideal to Promote Human Rights for All and to Strengthen Universal Respect for Them’, the 2018 Social Forum of the United Nations Human Rights Council was held in Geneva, Switzerland on October 1-3.
At the forum, State Honored Athlete, Professional Mountaineer, B.Gangaamaa took part in a discussion entitled ‘Gender equality in sports’ as a speaker. She shared her experience as an example of that a woman can achieve success in any type of sports and highlighted a half of Olympic medalists and prominent athletes of Mongolia are women.
Moreover she introduced her initiative of holding a meeting between the mountaineers who have conquered the Seven Summits in 2020 under support of the UN Mongolia, the Mongolian National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports with an aim of making contribution to human rights promotion by protecting the environment and fighting with poverty.
