School break to be extended

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Government held its irregular meeting on December 22nd. One of the discussed issues was the length of general education schools’ break.

Minister of Education, Culture and Science Ts.Tsogzolmaa said that tentative plan is being made to set the school vacation date from January 1, 2018 to February 1.
Minister of Health D.Sarangerel informed that “Currently 6.2 percent of ambulatory check-ups are diagnosed with the flu. If it reaches 10 percent, it is considered an outbreak. Compared to the last week’s result, this week has seen an increase of 1.3 percent in flu infection. Therefore, to prevent a possible flu outbreak, we are planning to extend the length of the holiday.”
