Ulaanbaatar, August 25, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The “Mongolian Khudrug and Handicrafts Festival” opened for the third consecutive year at the Zanabazar Museum of Fine Arts on August 24, 2025.

The exhibition presents more than 200 creations by over 40 artisans, featuring crafts such as khödrog, appliqué, felt, knitting, and doll-making. As a country with deep-rooted traditions in craftsmanship, Mongolia aims to promote, preserve, and develop its traditional handicrafts, including khödrog and appliqué, through this event. The festival also seeks to create opportunities to learn from outstanding foreign artisans, exchange experiences, and foster cooperation for future training and research activities.

The “Mongolian Khudrug and Handicrafts Festival” is jointly organized by the “Hergeleeny Urlan” NGO and the Zanabazar Museum of Fine Arts, and will run until August 30, 2025.
