Colder temperatures expected following more snowfall

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Snow is expected in eastern parts of central and Gobi aimags and in some parts of eastern aimags today on December 23.
Snowfall and blizzards are also expected in the mountainous areas of Khangai and Khuvsgul on December 24 and 25, in the northern region on December 26, in some parts of the country on December 27, and in some parts of eastern aimags on December 28.
Wind speed will mostly be 6-11 m/sec, temporarily reaching 16-18 m/sec in some parts of the country.
In the depression of Darkhad, in the head of Zavkhan river, and near Khurenbelchir, the temperature will range from -36 to -41 degrees Celsius during the night, and -24 to -29 during the day.
In the depression of Uvs Lake, in the mountainous areas of Altai, Khangai, Khuvsgul, and Khentei, and in the basins of Ider, Tes, Tuul, Terelj, and Kherlen rivers, the temperature will be -29 to -34 during the night, and -17 to -22 during the day.
In areas with little snow, the temperature will be -13 to -18 during the night, and -4 to -9 during the day.
In other areas, temperatures are expected to be -22 to -27 during the night, and -13 to -18 during the day.
Colder temperatures are expected in the northern region on December 27, and in most parts of the country from December 28.
