State Secretary D.Davaasuren works in Kuwait

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Davaasuren is working in Kuwait on February 3-5.  


On February 3, State Secretary D.Davaasuren held a meeting with Abdulwahab Al-Bader, Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), sharing views on cooperation. Highlighting that the people of Mongolia are grateful to the Kuwait Fund on its soft loans and non-refundable aids for implementation of large-scale projects in Mongolia such as renovation of auto roads, hydro power plants, construction of Burn Treatment Center and airport in Undurkhaan, Khentii, the State Secretary provided information about progress of ongoing projects.


Moreover, the State Secretary gave information on auto road development project in route Undurkhaan-Norovlin-Dadal, which is tourism center of the eastern region and the sides talked over rendering non-refundable aid worth USD 500 thousand from the Kuwait Fund, which is required for making feasibility study of the project.


Mr. Abdulwahab Al-Bader conveyed that they are going to discuss the proposal put forth by the side of Mongolia at the Board of Directors Meeting of the Fund, which will be held on February 19, 2020 and informed to resolve the issue pleasantly. 



The same day, State Secretary D.Davaasuren paid courtesy call on former Prime Minister of Kuwait His Majesty Shieh Nasser Mohammed Ahmad Al-Jaber Sabah.  


State Secretary D.Davaasuren briefed current state of cooperation between Mongolia and Kuwait to His Majesty Shieh Nasser Al-Muhammed and remarked that this year marks 45th diplomatic anniversary between the two countries while expressing gratitude to His Majesty Shieh on his contribution and support to expanding and developing relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Kuwait at today’s level. The two parties also shared views on regional and international matters of mutual interest.


Shieh Nasser Al-Muhammed wished the State Secretary a pleasant stay to Kuwait and showed his readiness to provide all-round support for developing and strengthening ties and cooperation between Mongolia and Kuwait.
