Improvement seen in meat-processing factories

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Representatives from Chinese inspection authorities conducted an evaluation over Mongolian meat-processing factories. They have reached a conclusion that the operations have improved.

According to inspector Liu Jinghua from Exit-Entry Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, the Chinese inspection team examined operations of 36 meat-processing factories in provinces and the capital city in eight days.

“We’ve seen visible improvement in the operations of Mongolian meat-processing factories compared to 2015,” he said during a meeting with Mongolian officials last Friday.

M.Enkh-Amar, Head of Policy and Planning Department of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry said, “Most Mongolian meat-processing factories are interested in being inspected,” and inquired into possibilities of conducting an inspection twice a year.

Mongolian officials including M.Enkh-Amar, Head of Policy and Planning Department of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, T.Gantogtokh, Head of Food Industry Policy Management Department of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, P.Gankhuyag, Director of Department of Veterinary and Animal Breeding and others attended the meeting.

From Chinese side, representatives of the Exit-Entry Inspection and Quarantine Bureaus of Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and Erenhot were present at the meeting.
