Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/.This year, the country cultivated on total 524.3 thousand hectares, of which 393.6 thousand hectares of grain, 367.2 thousand hectares of wheat, 14.9 thousand hectares of potatoes, 7.5 thousand hectares of vegetables, 78.2 thousand hectares of oil plant, 28.2 thousand hectares of fodder plants and 1.9 thousand hectares of medicinal herbs.
In a preliminary balance of harvest, 271.8 thousand tons of grain, 259.2 thousand tons of wheat, 102.3 thousand tons of potatoes, 75.7 thousand tons of vegetables, 23.6 thousand tons of oil plants and 47.3 thousand tons of fodder plants are expected to be harvested.
As of September 12, 114.2 tons of hay grass was cropped. In addition, 29.7 thousand tons of grain was harvested from 36 thousand hectares, 13.1 thousand tons of potato--from 1.3 thousand hectares, 19.3 thousand tons of vegetables--from 1.8 thousand hectares, 3.4 thousand tons of fodder plants--from 2.1 thousand hectares.
The current harvest process percentage of grain is 12,5%, potato--11.7%, vegetable--26.6%, fodder plants--16.3% and oil plants --5.2%.
