Mongolian Judokas Claim Two Silver and Two Bronze Medals at the Asian Senior Championship

Ulaanbaatar, April 28, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Mongolian judokas won two silver and two bronze medals at the Asian Judo Senior Championship being held in Bangkok, Thailand. Judoka Ariunzaya Terbish and Enkhriilen Lkhagvatogoo won silver medals in women’s 57 and 63 kg categories, and Nyam-Erdene Batsuuri and Adiyasuren Amarsaikhan claimed bronze medals in women’s 70 kg and +78 kg categories.


While judoka Ariunzaya grabbed her first continental silver medal, competing in the continental championship for the first time, Nyam-Erdene and Adiyasuren earned their second medals, and Enkhriilen now holds gold, silver, and bronze medals of the Asian Judo Senior Championship. A total of 295 judokas from 30 Asian countries, including 18 judokas from Mongolia, competed in this year’s largest judo competition. Though the Mongolian judo team won a total of 11 medals, including three gold medals at the Asian Senior Championship last year, Mongolian male judokas earned no medals this time.


The mixed team competition of the Asian Senior Championship will be held today.
