Chairman of the State Great Khural Meets Mongolian Scholars at the University of Oxford

London, March 21, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia Amarbayasgalan Dashzegve is paying an official visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on March 18-23, 2025.
On March 20, 2025, Speaker Amarbayasgalan visited Oxford City, the United Kingdom, and received Chancellor of the University of Oxford Mr. William Hague, and Head of the School of Geography and Environment Professor Giles Wiggs. The two sides discussed Mongolia’s goals in the education sector, educational programs currently being implemented, and potential areas for future collaborative research.
Additionally, Speaker Amarbayasgalan met with Mongolian researchers participating in the “7th Oxford Interdisciplinary Desert Conference on the Study of the Livelihoods of People Living in Deserts and Drylands,” organized by the School of Geography and the Environment of the University of Oxford, and was introduced to their research work.
The Chairman of the State Great Khural noted that the research conducted by Mongolian scholars extends well beyond linguistics and literature, encompassing such fields as geography, climate change, and advanced technology. During the meeting, Speaker Amarbayasgalan highlighted the importance of utilizing Mongolian researchers’ findings and analyses in government policy and decision-making.
