Ulaanbaatar, February 27, 2024 /MONTSAME/. An "Enchanting Wanderlust" cultural soirée was held in Frankfurt, Germany, on February 22, 2024. The event was organized by the Cultural Envoy of Mongolia Ts. Gerelee, in cooperation with the Embassy of Mongolia in the Federal Republic of Germany, marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Germany and promoting the "Years to Visit Mongolia."

The event commenced with an inaugural address by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Federal Republic of Germany B. Mandakhbileg, setting the stage for an enchanting fusion of Mongolian folk art with contemporary rhythms. Dr. Hendrik Rohland, esteemed Archaeologist and Leader of the Orkhon Expedition, offered illuminating insights into Mongolia's rich heritage through his presentation "Mongolia through the Eyes of an Archaeologist and a Traveler."

A highlight of the evening was a performance on the Altai harp, meticulously restored through a collaborative effort between Mongolian and German archaeologists, as a testament to their cultural exchange. Musician Ch. Munkh-Erdene, renowned as the queen of the traditional Mongol yatga [harp], mesmerized the audience with her rendition of melodies, evoking the spirit of the Mongolian nomads. The nearly 1400-year-old Altai Harp, found in a cave tomb of Jargalant Khairkhan Mountain, Mankhan Sum, Khovd Province, was discovered in 2008 and became a symbol of cultural exchange between Mongolia and Germany in 2014.

In addition to the cultural display, representatives from Mongolian enterprises in Germany, including "Younique catering by Muko," "Edel Ziege Cashmere," Ujin's felt crafting brand, and MIAT SOE, took the opportunity to introduce their products and services.
