Minister of Foreign Affairs Battsetseg Batmunkh Meets US Secretary of State Antony Blinken

Ulaanbaatar, February 19, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Minister of Foreign Affairs Battsetseg Batmunkh met with United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken during the 60th Munich Security Conference on February 16, 2024.
At the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the strengthened relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the United States, reaching the level of a "Strategic Third Neighborhood Partnership" as a result of the Official Visit of Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai to the United States in August 2023.
Furthermore, it was decided to ensure the implementation of the Air Transport Agreement established between the two countries and to make efforts to initiate direct flights between Mongolia and the United States within this year.
The American side conveyed its intention to further expand the cooperation implemented within the framework of the Peace Corps, and expressed its active support for English language teaching programs and activities in Mongolian secondary schools.
In addition, the parties emphasized that the high-level mutual visits made in the past have made a special contribution to strengthening cooperation between the two countries and confirmed their commitment to maintaining the frequency of mutual visits this year.
