Kyrgyzstan Announces to Open its Embassy in Mongolia

July 9, 2023 /MONTSAME/. The President of Kyrgyzstan S.N. Japarov is paying a State Visit
to Mongolia at the invitation of the President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa on
July 9-11.
The
Heads of State of the two countries have held official talks where they
exchanged views on deepening the relations and cooperation, strengthening political trust and
the legal basis of relations, and intensifying regional and multilateral
cooperation.
At the briefing on the results of the official talks to the press President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa noted that the talks went in friendly and businesslike atmosphere. "While evaluating the current state of friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries, we discussed and exchanged opinions on the further development of cooperation in a wide range of fields such as politics, trade, economy, transport logistics, agriculture, tourism, and culture. We agreed to mutually support each other and deepen cooperation at the UN, international and regional levels."
"The 30th
anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two
countries occurred in 2022, and within the framework of this visit, I believe
that we could evaluate the past 30 years of relations and cooperation between
Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan, as well as determine the perspective and roadmap for
future cooperation," said President Khurelsukh.
Mongolia opened its Embassy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in 2014, while Kyrgyzstan is opening its Embassy in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia as part of President Sadir Japarov's State Visit to Mongolia. This event is considered a clear sign of the active development and expansion of relations and cooperation between the two countries.
Within the
framework of the policy to intensify trade and economic cooperation between the
two countries and to diversify Mongolia's foreign trade, the parties agreed to
supply export goods and products such as meat, meat products and leather from
Mongolia to Kyrgyzstan and to other countries in the Central Asian region
through Kyrgyzstan and import fruits and vegetables from Kyrgyzstan, to give
policy support in mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, as well
as to intensify cooperation between veterinary and quarantine institutions.
They also agreed
to fully support and activate the Mongolian-Kyrgyz Intergovernmental Commission
for Trade, Economy, Science, Technology and Culture, which is a crucial mechanism
for the development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Moreover, the
parties agreed to discover the historical and cultural heritage of Mongolia
preserved in Kyrgyzstan, expand museum cooperation, increase student exchange,
as well as to restore direct flights between the two countries in connection
with the announcement of the Years to Visit Mongolia as a promotion of tourism
by the Government of Mongolia and effectively use the agreement on mutual visa-free
travel for developing tourism.
The Presidents discussed
cooperation in the field of tree breeding, coordinating the "One Billion
Trees" initiative of Mongolia and the "Green Heritage"
initiative of Kyrgyzstan.
