Meet Mongolian Judokas on a Trip to the World Judo Championships - 2023

Ulaanbaatar, April 28, 2023 /MONTSAME/. Doha, Qatar gears up for the highly anticipated World Judo Championships - 2023, which is set to take place from May 7 to May 13. Over 500 top-notch judokas from more than 90 countries will put their skills to the test in this adrenaline-fueled Championship.  


Mongolia has officially announced its list of top judokas, who will be showcasing their prowess on the world stage. 


A total of 18 judokas have been selected for the Championship from Mongolia, including two judokas in each category of men’s 66 kg and 73 kg and women’s 48 kg, 52 kg, and 57 kg. B. Gankhaich (63 kg), the Asian Champion of 2022 and International Master of Sport will unfortunately miss out on the World Judo Championships due to an injury.

-66 kg – Baskhuu Yondonperenlei, Erkhembayar Batzaya 

-73 kg – Tsogtbaatar Tsend-Ochir, Erdenebayar Batzaya 

-81 kg – Bolor-Ochir Gereltuya 

-90 kg – Altanbagana Gantulga 

-100 kg – Gonchigsuren Batkhuyag 

+100kg – Tsetsentsengel Odkhuu 


Women’s category 


-48 kg – Narantsetseg Ganbaatar, Baasankhuu Bavuudorj 

-52 kg – Sosorbaram Lkhagvasuren, Nandin-Erdene Myagmarsuren 

-57 kg – Enkhriilen Lkhagvatogoo, Ichinkhorloo Munkhtsedev 

-70 kg – Nyam-Erdene Batsuuri 

-78 kg – Khuslen Otgonbayar
