G. Ganbayar Awarded Male Footballer of the Year

Ulaanbaatar, February 8, 2023 /MONTSAME/.  The award ceremony “Golden ball” is traditionally held on December 12 every year to honor the best footballers of the year. But this year, the Mongolian Football Federation took place the “Golden ball” in Ulaanbaatar Hotel on February 7 due to the coincidence of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. 


During the opening ceremony, the president of the Mongolian Football Federation and the executive board member of the National Olympic Committee A. Ganbaatar remarked that this year, the Mongolian Football Federation had held the most number of competitions in history, which were 1933 games, and 46 competitions. 


The winners were selected in eight categories, and the Grand Award or the Male Footballer of the Year was given to G. Ganbayar, the striker of the national team and KFC Komárno of the Liga.

The Best Legionnaire – Yuta Mishima (Khaan Khuns-Erchim FC) 

The Best Futsal Coach – S. Erdene-Ochir (Ulaanbaataryn Unaganuud FC) 

The Best Coach of the Female Team – E. Shinebayar (The Kharaatsai FC) 

The Best Coach of the Male Team – B. Batnasan (Khaan Khuns-Erchim FC) 

The Best Goal – Z. Lkhagva (Khovd FC) /A Goal Against Shri-Lanka in the AFC U-20 Asian Cup/  

The Best Player – E. Purevdorj (Ulaanbaataryn Unaganuud FC) 

The Best Female Player – N. Namuunaa (Storm FC)
