Foreign Minister meets Special Envoy of ROK President

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On May 25, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia B.Battsetseg met with Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Korea Na Kyung-won during the World Economic Forum.


Minister B.Battsetseg expressed satisfaction with the development of Mongolia-ROK friendly ties and cooperation in all fields, which are now deepening at the level of ‘Strategic Partnership’, while reaffirming commitment to further develop bilateral economic cooperation.


The Minister noted that Mongolia exempted visa requirements for tourists of the Republic of Korea for the next two years with a view to intensifying the post-pandemic economic recovery and expanding the people-to-people relations between the two countries. The Minister then asked to pay attention to facilitating the travel of Mongolian citizens to the Republic of Korea, especially of those who are traveling for medical purposes.


While stressing that the two countries have ample opportunities for cooperation in trade and economic spheres, as well as in green growth and renewable energy, Special Envoy Na Kyung-won expressed the newly-formed Government’s readiness to cooperate with Mongolia in the implementation of major development projects.
