Foreign Minister meets ITC Executive Director

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Within the framework of the World Economic Forum taking place in Davos, Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg today held a meeting with Executive Director of the International Trade Center (ITC) Pamela Coke-Hamilton to exchange views on cooperation issues.
Expressing satisfaction with the successful development of cooperation between Mongolia and the ITC, Minister B.Battsetseg thanked ITC’s contribution to improving Mongolia’s trade capacity. Specifically, ITC provided technical support to Mongolia in developing a Trade and Investment Roadmap (TIR) for 2019-2023.
To further expand cooperation, the two sides agreed to organize the World Export Development Forum in Ulaanbaatar in 2023. Moreover, the Minister put forth proposals to carry out joint works aimed at enhancing Mongolia’s export capacity and increasing the participation of women entrepreneurs.
Accepting the proposals,
Executive Director Pamela Coke-Hamilton affirmed to visit Mongolia in September
this year for the preparations of the World Export Development Forum and
expressed willingness to cooperate with Mongolia in expanding the production of
organic agricultural products and value chains, supporting the green economy
and e-economy, and increasing business opportunities in these sectors.
