Japanese Foreign Minister to pay official visit to Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Yoshimasa Hayashi will pay an official visit to Mongolia at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia B.Battsetseg between April 30 and May 2.
During his visit, the Japanese Foreign Minister will pay courtesy calls on President of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh and Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene, and hold official talks with Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg.
During the meeting between
the Foreign Ministers, the two sides are expected to discuss in detail the ways
to strengthen the Mongolia-Japan Strategic Partnership, maintain the frequency
of high-level talks, and expand bilateral cooperation in all fields. They will
also review the implementation of the medium-term program to Strengthen the
Strategic Partnership between Mongolia and Japan for 2017-2021 and exchange
views on cooperation in overcoming the adverse effects of the COVID-19
pandemic, increasing trade and investment, and intensifying the implementation
of the Economic Partnership Agreement.
