Medical equipment presented to National Trauma and Orthopedic Research Center through Japanese non-refundable aid

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In the framework of the non-refundable aid being provided by the Government of Japan to provide support for Mongolia’s socio-economic development in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Trauma and Orthopedic Research Center was presented with the initial batch of medical equipment.
During the ceremony, Minister of Health S.Enkhbold expressed gratitude to the Government of Japan for making a significant contribution to the development of the country’s healthcare sector.
Furthermore, certain equipment received so far such as blood gas analyzers, autoclaves, sedation machines, and vein finders have been allocated to district hospitals and health centers in the capital city as well as specialized hospitals that offer their services nationwide, noted the Minister.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Kobayashi Hiroyuki highlighted that he is delighted to be presenting highly necessary medical equipment as it was decided to utilize about 60 percent of the non-refundable aid financing in the sector. He then expressed confidence that the medical equipment and tools would significantly contribute to protecting public health in Mongolia.
In the framework of the assistance, three C-arm X-ray machines and a sedation machine were presented to the National Trauma and Orthopedic Research Center.
