Announcement of bids underway for projects to begin in 2022Video
At the Cabinet’s regular meeting on January 19, Minister of Finance B.Javkhlan gave a progress report on the government procurements for projects and actions scheduled to begin in 2022 with state budget funding. So far, bids have been announced for 140 or 19.5 percent of a total of 717 projects, while bids for eight projects and actions are in their final stages. Deadlines are not over for 134 bids.
Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene ordered general budget governors to have bids announced for all projects by March 1.
During the meeting, it was also decided that athletes of the national team who qualify for the Winter Olympics and Paralympics will each receive a one-time incentive of MNT 10 million. As of January 18, 2022, three national team athletes have punched their ticket to the Olympics with more expected to secure spots in skiing, biathlon, and Para cross-country skiing events.
Previously, the Government of Mongolia had provided incentives to athletes who qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics.
