4th meeting of joint working group with EEC held

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On December 6, the 4th meeting of the
Joint Working Group on interaction between the Government of Mongolia and the
Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) took place in an online format.
The meeting was chaired by the
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia B. Battsetseg and Member of
the Board – Minister in charge
of Integration and Macroeconomics of the EEC Sergei
Glazyev.
Representatives of relevant organizations of the two countries attended the meeting and had broad exchange of information and views on technical regulatory cooperation, hygiene, quarantine measures, customs regulations, the prospects for the industrial sector cooperation as well as business cooperation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the EEC
agreed to hold a seminar on issues of mutual interest in the second half of
January 2022, and in this regard, the parties will work together
to prepare for the seminar.
The heads of delegations appreciated the progress of
the collaborative study on the possibility of concluding a Free Trade Agreement
between the Government of Mongolia and the EEU and avowed that they would
continue to work on the joint study report.
The parties agreed to extend the Joint Action Plan for
2022-2025 in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding concluded by the
Government of Mongolia and the EEC on June 15, 2015 and signed a protocol in
the conclusion of the meeting.
