Japanese Ambassador works in Orkhon aimag

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Kobayashi Hiroyuki and Minister of Road and Transport Development L.Khaltar paid a visit to Erdenet, Orkhon to get acquainted with the Erdenet Mining Corporation (EMC)’s copper mine and copper concentration plant as well as Erdmiin San school and Medipas Hospital between August 26 and 28.
During the Ambassador’s meeting with relevant officials of erdenet company, EMC Director General Kh.Badamsuren gave information on the social responsibility and future plans of the company and showed an interest in attracting investments from Japan.
Director of Erdmiin San school G.Ulziibayar expressed willingness to further deepen the school’s partnership with Yanagigaura high school in Oita, Japan. Moreover, Governor of Orkhon aimag S.Batjargal and chair of the aimag’s local council D.Munkhbat voiced gratitude for establishing a secondary school in the aimag through Japanese official development assistance.
Acting Director of Medipas Hospital L.Tuul presented the activities and responsibility of the major regional hospital.
