Mongolia receives 132,210 doses of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The 7th batch of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines with 132,210 doses arrived in Mongolia yesterday, on July 29.

 

With 132,210 doses supplied yesterday, Mongolia has received a total of 549,960 doses of Pfizer vaccines so far.

 

The 2.35 million doses of the vaccine are purchased through the grant funding of the Project for Strengthening Capacity of Mongolia to Cope with the COVID-19 and Other Public Health Emergencies Agreement signed between the UNICEF and the Embassy of Japan on March 11, 2021.

 

The purchase and supply of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines will continue until the end of this year. This will allow the vaccination of over 290,000 children aged 12-17, pregnant women and other unvaccinated people.
