COVID-19: 927 new cases reported, total reaches 58,439

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Daily briefing on the COVID-19 situation for today, May 31, reported that 927 new coronavirus cases were detected in the past 24 hours across the country after a total of 6,026 PCR tests were performed nationwide. 


In specific, 829 new cases were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar city and 98 cases -- in rural regions. Thus, the total cases of the COVID-19 in the country have reached 58,439. In the past 24 hours, 682 patients made recovery, making the total recoveries 50,436. 


As of May 31, a total of 4,475 COVID-19 patients are undergoing treatment at hospitals in Ulaanbaatar city and the rural aimags. Among them, 112 patients are in serious health conditions.


The National Center for Communicable Diseases has reported four new COVID-19 related deaths, raising the country's death toll to 276.
