Sanitary facilities at public schools, kindergartens and dorms to be improved in three years

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On March 12, a discussion took place on organizing the work to replace pit latrines with modern sanitation facilities at public schools, kindergartens and dormitories with funding from Erdenet Mining Corporation state-owned enterprise within its corporate social responsibility in 2021-2023.
Working group in charge of monitoring the project implementation including MPs B.Bayarsaikhan, Yo.Baatarbileg, D.Unurbolor, Ch.Undram, and B.Jargalmaa, members of the sub-working group led by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Science, corresponding officials, and representatives of the private sector participated in the discussion.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Science D.Batbaatar introduced the progress of works carried out so far as well as the ‘WASH” project jointly implemented by Mobicom Corporation and World Vision Mongolia, and the sanitation facility project carried out at schools, kindergartens, and dormitories in 3 aimags of the western region.
Following the presentation of certain technologies of Russia and Germany that are possible to be introduced in Mongolia, scholars, researchers, engineers, and business owners noted several technologies that are suitable for the country’s climate.
