Ulaanbaatar, September 5, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Within the framework of bilateral cooperation, the National Fire Agency of the Republic of Korea has handed over 300 types of personal protective equipment and devices to the National Emergency Management Agency of Mongolia (NEMA).

At the handover ceremony, Chief of NEMA, Major General G. Ariunbuyan, stated, “The protective equipment and devices provided by the National Fire Agency of the Republic of Korea will enhance the safety and protection of emergency service officers, strengthen their preparedness and capacity to operate in disaster zones, and support their mission readiness. Going forward, we are confident that our cooperation will deepen further, contributing to regional security, disaster risk reduction, and building an exemplary partnership in international cooperation.”

Cooperation between the two countries’ disaster management agencies began in 2006 and has since expanded to cover capacity-building training, exercises, research, and volunteer activities, as well as technical and equipment support.
