Mongolia to receive fully-equipped helicopters for air rescue
SocietyUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The National Emergency Management
Agency of Mongolia (NEMA) and the Directorate of the Civil Defense and Security
of France are implementing the project on the establishment of the helicopter
search and rescue center funded by the French state loan within the scope of a
financial agreement between the governments of Mongolia and France.
As the first two fully equipped Airbus EC-145 helicopters
for air rescue and search missions and emergency health services become ready
to deliver to Mongolia, the helicopter support company Heli-Union organized a
ceremony inviting entities involved in this project on 22 February 2021.
The event was attended by the delegates from the Embassy of
Mongolia to France representing the NEMA, the Ministry of Economy, Finance and
Recovery of France, SOFEMA, THALES, Airbus companies. Mr. Patrick Molis, CEO
and chairman of the Heli-Union welcomed all the delegates and represented the
ongoing project with NEMA, during his speech he highlighted that SOFEMA has
played a significant role in implementing this project. After the meeting,
Heli-Union organized a tour to its maintaining and repairing facilities and
displayed two helicopters ready to be transported.
