Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. As per the decision of the State
Emergency Commission, a total of 28,359 Mongolian nationals were brought back
until January 23, 2021.
Of them, 21,716 citizens were repatriated by 119 charter
flights in total while 6,643 were brought home by ground transport through the southern
and northern border checkpoints.
Since the beginning of 2021, seven charter flights have
brought 590 citizens. Amongst the
passengers, there were 29 families with young children, 32 with medical
reasons, 6 elderly people, 8 pregnant mothers, 232 peacekeepers, and others.
