UNFPA Mongolia hands over 400 dignity kits for persons with disabilities

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities yesterday, December 3, UNFPA Mongolia handed over 400 dignity kits, specifically prepared for the persons with disabilities to the General Authority for Development of Persons with Disabilities (GADPWD).




GADPWD and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection will distribute the dignity kits to the NGOs working with the persons with disabilities as well as deliver to the homes of selected persons with disabilities. The dignity kits include items that meet the special needs of the men and women with disabilities.




Kaori Ishikawa, UNFPA's Head of Office in Mongolia, MP S.Oyunchimeg, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Social Protection, A.Ariunzaya, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, E.Tamir, the Director of the GADPWD attended the handover event. These dignity kits are part of UNFPA's agreement with Luxembourg Cooperation to support Mongolian people during COVID-19.
