Workshop held on energy efficiency in construction sector
SocietyUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. A two-day workshop within the
framework of the development of the Local Energy Efficiency Action Plan (LEEAP)
in the construction sector in Ulaanbaatar was organized on October 27-28 by the project ‘Energy Efficient Building Refurbishment in Mongolia’
(EEP / PIE2).
The workshop aimed to exchange opinions and to achieve a
common understanding of the definition of short, medium, and long-term goals to
improve energy efficiency in the construction sector in Ulaanbaatar and to
define the financial and investment mechanisms required for implementation.
In the presence of more than 100 people representing the
Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Construction and Urban Development, the
Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism, the Energy Regulatory Commission,
the Ulaanbaatar Municipality, as well as the Governor's Office, banks and
building auditors, the workshop was rated as successful.
The project is co-funded by the Swiss Agency for development
and Cooperation (SDC) & the German Federal Ministry for Economic
Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
