Order of Sukhbaatar conferred upon Ural Federal University of Russia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. With the decree issued by President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga, the Order of Sukhbaatar has been conferred upon the Russian Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B.N.Yeltsin.
The order was conferred upon the Russian university on the 100th anniversary of its establishment for the contributions of the university’s professors and staff throughout the years in preparing specialized personnel in all sectors such as economy, society, culture, industry, construction, mining, and energy.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia D.Davaa presented the order at the ceremony that took place at the Ural Federal University in Yekaterinburg, Russia on October 23.
In his congratulatory remarks, the Ambassador noted that Mongolian alumni of the university have made significant contributions to the country’s development, and expressed his confidence that the next generation of Mongolian alumni will continue to contribute to the development of relations between Mongolia and Russia as well as the multilateral cooperation of the country.
With Mongolian students beginning to study at the Ural Federal University of Russia from 1960, a total of over 3,000 Mongolian students have graduated from the university with majors in society, economy, culture, education, industry, construction, mining, and energy. Currently, there are over 50 Mongolian students studying at the university for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees.
