Two more peacekeepers recover from COVID-19

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At today’s regular press briefing of the Ministry of Health, Head of Surveillance Department of the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) A.Ambaselmaa provided updates on results of latest COVID-19 tests.
According to her, coronavirus tests have been carried out on 586 people on August 17 on the national level and the test results all came out negative.
Two peacekeepers aged 27 and 28 have made recovery from the coronavirus and were transferred into sanatorium-based isolation, the next stage of mandatory isolation, today. The peacekeepers returned to Mongolia last month and were tested positive for the virus while under staying under compulsory isolation.
As of today, 298 imported COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Mongolia. 278 of them have recovered while 20 people are undergoing treatment at the NCCD. 18 out of 20 people under treatment are in mild and 2 people are in serious health conditions. In addition, 49 of recovered people are staying at a sanatorium under isolation and 14 people are under home-isolation.
