Construction Minister meets representatives of int'l cooperation agencies of Japan and South Korea

Development B.Munkhbaatar met with Chief Representative of the Japan
International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Mongolia Office Tamura Eriko on July
31.
Ms. Tamura Eriko congratulated the Minister on his
appointment and showed an interest in further deepening cooperation between the Construction Ministry and JICA.
The sides exchanged views and information about satellite
city development, free economic zone, construction material laboratory, and
treatment plant projects while talking about ongoing joint projects and further
cooperation, and agreed to have a business meeting on the matters discussed.
On the same day, Minister B.Munkhbaatar met with Resident
Representative of the Korea International Cooperation Agency in Mongolia Jo
Haeng Lan.
At the meeting, Ms. Jo Haeng Lan undertook to support the
Construction Minister’s proposal to cooperate in introducing South Korea’s
experience and technologies in urban development and voiced her readiness
to collaborate on smart city and sub-center development projects and programs.
The sides also agreed to have a
business meeting in the near future to define areas of cooperation.
