JICA projects discussed with Japanese Ambassador

L.Tsedevsuren on August 3 met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
of Japan to Mongolia Kobayashi Hiroyuki.
Minister L.Tsedevsuren, at the beginning of the meeting, stressed the importance of the projects the Japan International Cooperation Agency
(JICA) is implementing in Mongolia’s education sector, such as the Project for
Human Resource Development Scholarship by Japanese Grant Aid (JDS) and KOSEN
Program.
The Minister then showed an interest in strengthening bilateral
ties and cooperation in education sector and cooperating more closely in training of information technology specialists and engineers, while also noting that
the two sides can carry out a joint project to provide school kitchens
with purpose-built equipment to implement the school lunch law and
program.
Ambassador Kobayashi Hiroyuki undertook to hand over new
school buildings with pleasant learning environments within the scheduled time, continue
with human resource training programs in essential professions, and work
together with the Education Ministry in many areas.
