Deputy Foreign Minister holds phone conversation with his Mexican counterpart

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Today, July 31, H.E. Mr. Munkhjin Batsumber, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs had a telephone conversation with H.E. Mr. Julian Ventura Valero, Deputy Foreign Minister of the United Mexican States on Mexico’s initiative.
Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. J. V. Valero congratulated H.E. Mr. B.Munkhjin upon his recent appointment as the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and expressed his desire to work together to expand and strengthen the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries.
During the conversation, Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. B.Munkhjin noted that 2020 marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Mexico and expressed his readiness to intensify bilateral relations and cooperation in a broad range of areas, namely tourism, education, sports, trade, agriculture and energy. He also pointed out the importance of organizing the first consultative meeting between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of two countries in the near future.
In
addition to issues pertaining bilateral relations, the Deputy Foreign Ministers
exchanged views on multilateral cooperation and other international issues of
mutual concern.
